Patio Door Frame Prep
Overview:
            The process for prepping patio frames.
Definitions:
Procedure:
  1. Read the barcode label looking for the windows configuration and any listed options.
  2. Place the frame on the table with the outside of the unit facing up.
  3. If color cap: Paint the corners of the frame.
  4. Pull the windows mullion(s), track, T-bars, and filler bars from the pigeonhole cart.
    1. See the label for what slot to pull from.
  5. Insert rebar into the mullion(s) and T-bar(s).
    1. T-bars get 2 different pieces of rebar.
  6. Screw a 6 X ¾” Tek screw 6” from the bottom of the mullion to keep the rebar from rattling around.
  7. For three and four panel doors: measure the filler bars to make sure they are correct length.
  8. For three and four panel doors: Insert the filler bars into the frame.
    1. With a mallet tap the filler bars so they are flush.
  9. For three and four panel doors: Use the mullion punch jig and or the t-bar punch jig to drill 1/8” holes.
  10. For three and four panel doors: Remove the filler bars from the frame.
  11. Install the screen track into the frame.
  12. Slide the metal sleeve over the door track.
    1. Cut the sleeve to size.
  13. Install the door track.
    1. Install the track with the groove towards the inside of the door.
  14. For color cap: install the threshold.
  15. Screw in the mullion(s).
    1. Coat the ends of the screws in silicone.
    2. Screw a 6 X 2” dry wall screw in the top hole.
    3. Screw a 8 X 3” dry wall screw in the bottom hole.
  16. Screw in the T-bar(s) if needed.
    1. Coat the ends of the screws in silicone.
    2. Use three 6 X 2” dry wall screws to secure the T-bar.
  17. Insert the small rebar inserts into each end of the filler bars.
  18. Insert the filler bars.
  19. Screw in the wood support on sill.
  20. Install two anti-lift blocks over each vent portion of the door.
  21. Install the bumper(s) in the top DL corners of the door.
  22. For OXXO: Snap the center stop in the middle of the door.
  23. Place the AAMA and ID label on the frame.
  24. Tape the frame with 3/8” glazing tape.
  25. Block the frame with ¾” white blocks.
    1. Place 2 blocks on the bottom.
    2. Stager 2 blocks on the right side of the frame. One in the middle one on the top.
    3. Stager 2 blocks on the left side of the frame. One in the middle one on the bottom.
  26. Shrink wrap the handle to the frame.
  27. Off load the frame into the staging area and pair it up with its sash.
