Ensure proper PPE is worn.
- Gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection (if the saw is being operated).

Ensure all the equipment needed is on hand.
- Trash can/wood shavings container
- Wood shavings
- Dirty water in bucket
- Stir stick (piece of scrap wood)
- Gather wood shavings from the saw next to maintenance.
- Gather wood shaving in the assigned trash can (located on the clean room's side) and return it to the paint area.
- Start mixing wood shavings into the bucket of water used to clean the machine and gun after painting the booth.
- Continue mixing in the wood shavings (with a piece of wood) until you get a chunky paste.
- Once wood shavings are mixed in and are the right consistency (chunky paste), dump the bucket into the trash bag (making sure to get all excess wood shavings out of the bucket) and tie the bag off before disposing of it into the dumpster.
