Overview
The process for safely disposing of Low-E dust bags and filters.

- On the first working day of each month, the low-e dust filter on each Hegla glass cutter needs to be changed.

Before changing the filter, dawn proper PPE.
- PPE includes a disposable mask, disposable gloves, and glasses.

Remove the old filters from the machine and place them into a plastic garbage bag.
- When handling the filter, avoid any movements that will displace low-e dust into the air.
- Tie the plastic garbage bag off and place it in an outside trash receptacle.

Remove and dispose of your mask and gloves.
- Avoid making any contact with your face or skin.
- Fill out the low-e dust sign off sheet.
- Thoroughly wash your hands before returning to work.
Shop Vac for Edge Deletion Wheel
- On the first working day of each month, the shop vac bag on each edge deletion table needs to be changed.

Before changing the bag, dawn proper PPE.
- PPE includes a disposable mask, disposable gloves, and glasses.

Remove the old bag from the shop vac and place it into a plastic garbage bag.
- When handling the bag, avoid any movements that will displace low-e dust into the air.

Check the filter for any signs of wear.
- The filter needs to be changed every 3 months or whenever wear is evident.
- If needed, remove the old filter from the shop vac and place it into the same plastic garbage bag.
- Tie the plastic garbage bag off and place it in an outside trash receptacle.
