Grid Truing Check
Overview
The process for checking to see if grids are true at the beginning of each quarter.

Procedure:
- At the beginning of each quarter, run a 6-foot test piece of grid material off each intergrid machine.
- Cut the 6-foot test piece in half, creating two 3-foot pieces.
- Butt the two test pieces of grid material together.
- Check for any gaps at the center or ends of the two scrap pieces.
- Flip one of the test grid pieces and butt them together again.
- Check for any gaps at the center or ends of the two scrap pieces.

If a gap greater than 1/16” is created when the two pieces are butted together, tag the machine out and call over your team lead.
- The bow tolerance for grids is 1/16” per 3'.
- If a gap greater than 1/16” is not created when the two pieces are butted together, the machine is within tolerance.
- Fill out the Grid Truing Check sign off sheet appropriately.
