Definitions:
Procedure:
-
At the beginning of each shift, check the status of the perfect scan sensors.
- If the sensors are dirty (red or yellow), select “START CLEANING” on the monitor, and clean them with a microfiber rag and Tele-Wash.
- The scanners are very sensitive. Be careful, and do not use compressed air to clean them.
- After cleaning, click the purple “STOP CLEANING” on the monitor.
- After checking the status of the sensors, clear the scanner log.
- When the first unit reaches the sticker/grid station, select that IG unit on the display monitor by clicking the check mark button.
- Once the unit is selected, it will automatically progress to the next unit as the line operates.
- At the beginning of every quarter, the team lead will verify that the display monitor shows the correct unit.
- If the perfect scanner picks up any imperfections, visually inspect the imperfections.
- If the imperfections are outside of AMSCO’s Glass Inspection Criteria Standards, reject the unit.
- If the scanner detects imperfections, but the IG unit is still acceptable, click the red caution sign on the top left portion of the screen, changing the unit from red to green.
