Reading Mulled Windows

Reading Mulled Windows
Process:
Read windows that require being mulled, into the mull area, then back out of the mull area to keep track of the location of the window.
Definitions:
Mulled Window – The process of Attaching one or more windows to each other.
Procedure:
  1. The prep area to separate the frames requiring to be mulled from the batches they are prepping on to a grey rack so they can be delivered to the mull area to get mulled.
  2. The prep lead will read the window needing to be mulled to a bin location of “QCR-Mull “using the required bar code. This will show the binning of the frame in the mull department.
  3. The frames will then be taken to the Mull Area to be mulled.
  4. After the frames have been Mulled, The Mull area lead will bin the window to the location “QCR Mull Done” using the required barcode. This will show the window has been mulled and can be finished being built.
  5.  The Mulled frames will then be taken back to the proper area to be completed.
  6. After Completion, the windows will then need to be read as done to complete them.
