Mylar Tape for Mended Corners
Process:
The process for mending Super Spacer corners with mylar tape.
Definitions:

Procedure:
  1. Before applying any tape, pinch the corners together so they are touching.                                                                                                  Open Open Mended Corner Closed Closed Mended Corner
    1. On the Erdman 7000, 7500, and Fixed Head, the corners will overlap and butt together. 7500 Mended Corner
    2. On the Lisec lines, the corners will come together at a 45% angle.                                     Lisec Mended Corner
  2. Apply a 1.5” piece of mylar tape over the mended corner.
    1. Ensure no tape is applied to the glass.
    2. Apply the tape so ¾” worth of tape is on each side of the spacer.                                        .75 tape on mended corner
    3. The Lisec lines are equipped with a mylar tape applicator. All other lines will need the mylar tape to be applied by hand.
