Masking Studio Sash
Process:
The process for prepping studio sash for the paint booth.

Procedure:

Read the label to see if the interior or exterior needs to be painted.
- If the label says “Paint Exterior” you will mask the interior.
- If the label says “Paint Interior” you will mask the exterior.
- Start by blowing off any excess debris from the sash.
- Remove the label and place it off to the side.
- With 1” yellow masking tape and a utility knife, tape the corners of the sash.

With 2” yellow masking tape and a utility knife, start taping around the weather strip.
- Tape needs to cover all the surface area.
- Ensure there are no tears or unmasked areas.
- Tape the original label to the top of the masked sash.
- Place the masked sash on a rack with the correct color identifying sign.
