Cradles in Patio Final
Process:
The process for building wooden cradles in Patio Final.

Procedure:
  1. Look up the invoice numbers from the wood paperwork. If they belong to All Purpose, they do not need a cradle, so cross it out.
  2. For all PDs, cut a 2” X 6” X CUT SIZE LENGHT as listed on the paperwork.
  3. Each cradle will need 2 pieces of 2” X 6” X 47” for the sides.
  4. Cut 4 pieces of 1” X 6” X 24” at opposite 45-degree angles to attach to corners.

  6. Attach handles to each 47” piece using 8 X 3/4" Pan Head wood screws. (20” from bottom)

  8. Attach the 47” pieces to the ends of the piece from step 2 using 4 nails from the nail gun.
  9. Use the nail gun to attach the 1” X 6” X 24" pieces to one side of each bottom corner.
  10. Attach a 1” X 4” X 8’ to the same side at the top of each side piece using 6 X 1 1/2" Gold wood screws at each side.

  12. Use a couple of 6 X 1 1/2" Gold screws to connect the 2” X 1” X 4” s in the middle.

  14. Label the cradle with the size and invoice.
  15. When we finalize a door over 120” that requires a cradle, the catcher on the line will obtain the corresponding cradle.
  16. He will get help from a beader to put the door into the cradle.
  17. Attach corresponding 1” X 4” s and 1” X 6” s to the open side of the cradle using 6 X 1 1/2" Gold wood screws.
  18. The catcher and beader will each move one end of the cradle and slide it into the rack across the aisle.
