Studio PW Prep
Overview:
The process for prepping studio PW frames.

While the picture window is in the rack, read the following elements of the barcode out load.
- AAMA rating, window color, sequence number, if WS.
- If the window is NC or WS, call this out to the line.
- Pull the window to the line.

Place the correct ID label onto the frame.
- The ID label should go on the upper right corner of the frame. On the inside of the home.

Place the gold label next to the ID label.
- NC (noncertified) windows don’t get gold labels.
- Place the window onto the belt.

Put the weep hole covers in the frame.
- Verify the weeps are located on the sill of the frame.
- Tape the window with regular 3/8” glazing tape.

If the window calls for WS, attach wood along the bottom of the window.
- Attach the wood with 8A ¾” wood screws.

Block the window with 1/8” black blocks.
- Place one block on the head and one on each jam.
- On the sill, block the window with 7/8” white blocks.
- Off load the window onto a roller rack.

Do not over stack racks.
- Over stacked racks will fall when Final is attempting to pull windows.
- Make sure all labels are facing the correct way and frames are placed in the correct sequential order.
