Wood on Sill in Prep
Process:
The process for applying wood to the sill of frames in prep.

Procedure:
- Read the barcode label looking to see if the window calls for wood on sill “WS”.

With 8 X ¾” Pan head screws, attach a piece of wood along the sills nail fin on the window.
- Attach a screw on both ends of the sill.
- Attach additional screws every 24”.
- Make sure the wood support goes across the entire sill of the window.

If an additional piece of wood is needed to cover the entire sill:
- The second piece of wood will need to be attached to the nail fin in at least two places.

Using the reciprocating saw, cut the wood flush with the frames nail fin.

Always cut away from your body.
- Do not swing the saw towards your body.
- When finished with the saw, engage the safety, and store the saw under the table.

For all SV, PM, and DV studio frames that call for wood, apply the orange installation notice sticker on the frames nail fin, on the opposite side of the wood.
