Process:
The process of cutting different shapes in specials.

Procedure:
- Find the cart labeled with the color day that you’re working on. (Artisan material will come separately and may need to be slotted.)
- Get the paperwork for the same day from the box by the desk.
- Skip all the glass only units on the paperwork.
- Starting at slot A1, pull out all material one slot at a time. Each slot should contain all the material to build one frame.
- Lay the pieces on the table with the outside of the frame facing up.
- Find the windows sill and then with a grease pencil, write out the windows invoice number and overall size.
- Different configurations will need additional information. SV and SH windows will need the measurement for the mullion punch. CF windows will need the window configuration and the T-bar punch measurement.
- For flush fins the label will have to go under the fin.
- Begin laying out the material in the same pattern as your paperwork. You will have to measure pieces to make sure they are in the correct position.
- All lengths that don’t have two 45° angles, will come 3 3/16” longer than the paperwork indicates.
- As you are laying out your material, label all 45° angles with a “45”. Label all 45° angles that get welded to the sill with an “S” to signify that it will be welded on the 2-point welder.
- Once the material is all laid out, begin working your way around the shape cutting all lengths to the correct size and angle.
- All angles over 45° will need additional material added to the end because of the weld. Reference the cut sheet to see how much material needs to be added.
- When cutting a piece that needs both sides cut, be careful not to cut off too much material on the first cut or there will not be enough material for the second cut.
- Label all cut corners with the degree of angle cut.
- Place the label on the rail of the frame.
- Put all pieces for the frame you are working on into the same slot on a flat pigeonhole cart. If there are more pieces than can fit in one slot, then put them into an adjacent slot.
- Continue until all frames for the color you are working on are complete.
