Patio T-Bar Mill
Process:
How to mill patio T-bars on the Fadal mill.
Definitions:
Procedure:
- Turn the dial on the back of the machine to power it up.
- Push the “ON” button. Wait for the computer to boot up.
- Push “ACCEPT” when it appears on the screen.
- Push the “PROG” button 2 times.
- Push “REF RETURN”.

Push “Z, Y, X”.
- Z must always be pushed first.
- Push the “MGI” button.
- Push the “EDIT” button.
- Push “O-List”.
- Use the arrows to scroll to program #0004 for white, almond, and taupe material, or select program #0024 for capped material.
- Press “OPEN”.
- Verify the correct program has been selected on the screen.

Ensure the offset settings are correct for Patio T-bar
- The offset settings for Patio T-bar are X: -7.752 Y: 2.820

If the offset settings are not correct:
- Change the X and Y axis by pushing the “OFFSET SETTING” button, pushing “WORK,” inputting the correct offsets, pushing the “INPUT” button, and then the “MGI” button.
- Push “AUTO”.
- Insert the material from the left side opening.
- Put the plastic blocks in each side cavity of the T-bar near the end that is being milled.
- Put the material loosely into the vice.

Using the aluminum gauge, set the material at the correct depth in the vice.
- The small flat end of the gauge should sit flat against the bottom edge of the vice. The small lip of the gauge should sit flat against the edge of the T-bar.
- Tighten the vice so the T-bar doesn’t move, and remove the aluminum gauge.
- Close the mill doors and push “CYCLE START.”
- After the mill comes to a stop, open the door, and loosen the vice.

Remove the T-bar and check the milled T-bar by using a piece of scrap T-bar material.
- they should line up with only a 1/32 gap inside the cavity when placed together.
