Tempered Oven Startup / Shutdown
Process:
How to startup and shutdown the Tempered Oven area.

Startup Procedure:
- Meet with or read note from counterpart
- Perform inspections on the tempered oven and washer
- Ensure that SO2 and Nitrogen tanks are turned on
- Make sure there is sand in the tempered stamp box
- Ensure the ceiling vents are open in the quench and blower rooms
- Verify the status of remakes that need to be processed
- Make sure all employees have an assignment and startup on time
- Make sure washer and oven are empty, clean and setup for the following shift
- Shutoff SO2 and Nitrogen tanks
- Perform a full shutdown on the tempered oven and washer. Shut off the washer water line
- Raise the quench and clean it out.
- Close the ceiling vents in the quench and blower rooms.
- Power down all the computers
- Leave a note for counterpart
- Ensure all trash and broken units are taken out of the area
- Collect area numbers and report to the supervisor
- Make sure the next shift has a good setup for their startup
- Push out all remakes from the area and properly communicate what remakes are still in process
- Change washer filters at the end of every week
