Tempered Oven Startup / Shutdown
Process:
How to startup and shutdown the Tempered Oven area.
Definitions:
Any needed definitions
Startup Procedure:
  1. Meet with or read note from counterpart
  2. Perform inspections on the tempered oven and washer
  3. Ensure that SO2 and Nitrogen tanks are turned on
  4. Make sure there is sand in the tempered stamp box
  5. Ensure the ceiling vents are open in the quench and blower rooms
  6. Verify the status of remakes that need to be processed
  7. Make sure all employees have an assignment and startup on time
Shutdown Procedure:
  1. Make sure washer and oven are empty, clean and setup for the following shift
  2. Shutoff SO2 and Nitrogen tanks
  3. Perform a full shutdown on the tempered oven and washer. Shut off the washer water line
  4. Raise the quench and clean it out.
  5. Close the ceiling vents in the quench and blower rooms.
  6. Power down all the computers
  7. Leave a note for counterpart
  8. Ensure all trash and broken units are taken out of the area
  9. Collect area numbers and report to the supervisor
  10. Make sure the next shift has a good setup for their startup
  11. Push out all remakes from the area and properly communicate what remakes are still in process
  12. Change washer filters at the end of every week
