- Start with the harp labeled “A.” Pull up the “Temper Load” program on the computer. Maximize the screen. “Enter Schedule Number” will come up on the computer. There will be a run number on the harp; type that number into the computer.
- The screen will show an arrangement of different labeled rectangles. The rectangles represent the pieces of glass in the numbered slots in the harp (ex., If the screen reads A37, take the glass out of slot 37 in the A cart).
-
Start by seaming the glass in the center and work your way to the end of the glass, then on the same side, seam the center and work your way to the other end of the glass. Continue this process until all four sides of the glass are seamed and there are no more sharp edges.
- Each side of the glass will need to be seamed at least twice but potentially up to four times, depending on the status of the seaming belts.
- Low-e glass should be seamed and sent through the washer with the low-e surface facing up. Contact with your gloves and the low-e surface should be minimal, and you should never put your hands on the center of the glass to prevent glove marks from ending up inside the unit.
- Send the glass into the washer in the same order as they are on the screen. Work from left to right. Send the first glass column, starting at the bottom and going up. The largest number goes first (ex., In the example shown, the A37 piece of glass would go first, then A36, then A35, then A34, etc.) Send the glass into the washer.
- Once all the glass from one screen is sent into the washer, push the “Next” icon on the computer.
