Tempered Remake Process

Procedure:

1. Place the remake sticker into the correct glass thickness tray.
   1. The 3/16” & ¼” tray or the DS tray.
2. Turn on the blue remake call light.
3. Transfer all needed information (Quantity, RM/Slot, Size, and Glass Type) from the remake sticker in the trays to a Temp Remake and Recuts for I.G. Lines form.
4. Transfer all remake stickers from the trays to the remake board.
   1. Place the stickers in the correct designated locations.
      1. 3/16” & ¼”, DS, or OLDS
5. Turn the blue remake call light off.
6. Deliver the Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form to the tempered remake glass cutter.
7. Cut all glass called for on the Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form.
8. Ensure the number of lites called for on the Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form and the number of lites cut is the same.
   1. After verifying, write the number of lites in the HEGLA box on the Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form.
9. Transfer the re-cut lites and Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form to the tempered glass seaming area.
10. Seam all the re-cut glass and ensure the number of lites called for on the Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form and the number of lites seamed is the same.
    1. After verifying, write the number of lites in the SEAM box on the Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form.
11. Load all remake glass into the tempering oven.
12. Ensure the number of lites called for on the Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form and the number of lites loaded into the tempering oven is the same.
    1. After verifying, write the number of lites in the LOAD box on the Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form.
13. Unload all remake glass from the tempering oven.
14. Ensure the number of lites called for on the Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form and the number of lites unloaded from the tempering oven is the same.
    1. After verifying, write the number of lites in the UNLOAD box on the Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form.
15. Pair all remake stickers with their corresponding remake glass.
16. Ensure the number of lites called for on the Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form and the number of lites paired with stickers is the same.
    1. After verifying, write the number of lites in the VERIFY box on the Temp Remakes and Recuts for I.G. Lines form.
17. Transfer all the remake glass to the Completed Remake Harp and switch on the call light.
    1.  If the lead or any other designated individual is available, they will deliver the remakes to the correct IG lines.
    2. If there is no one available to deliver the remake glass, the IG lines will be responsible for retrieving their own remake glass.
