Weld Order and Cart Staging
Process:
Properly stage carts for welding to prevent welders from running out of material. To run in order, and properly sign off Welding Schedule.

Depending on which welder you need to pull material for will determine what kind of profile you can place at that welder.
- Each welder has limitations in terms of size and profile. Understanding these limitations is required to know what profile to process next.

Pull the next available cart for that welder in order based on rush, color of day, in alphabetical order and batch order. This could include stock and &A carts.

Weld order shall follow:
- Paint
- Sound
- Continuous Frame
- Main
- Tempered
- Cardinal
- Stock

Weld order shall follow:
- Stage the cart at the welder next to the cart that is currently in process.

Carts staged for the welders must be logged on the Welding Schedule.

Placement for the sign-off is immediately to the right of the batch number. The format to sign off the carts is as follows:
- Shift-welder number. D for days, S for swings.
- In the event you set up a cart for the next shift, you will sign off as follows: S.U. shift-welder number.
- To sign off 2-point sash, circle the 2 point column on the Sash Welding Schedule and write the shift-2pt. (Example: D-2PT)

- All carts must be signed off on the Welding Schedule when they are pulled and staged at the welder.
- If you move a cart already in process, add the new location to the Welding Schedule. ***DO NOT CROSS OUT THE PREVIOUS LOCATION. ***
